Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
JOB SUMMARY: Be part of a healthcare team in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of pre and post-thoracic patients performing such functions as making rounds, history & physical examinations, care of wounds, and inpatient / outpatient care evaluations.
The Advanced Practice Clinician will ultimately manage acuity of patients entering into the care of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Thoracic Surgery and help coordinate post-operative surgical issues. The position is scheduled for eight hours a day; 5 days a week. Currently there is no night or weekend call requirement. Position also includes exciting opportunities in academic development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania.
National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania. Relevant experience preferred.
