Saint Simons By-The-Sea Hospital is seeking anÂ Relief House Supervisor / PRNÂ toÂ assist with House Supervisor coverageÂ byÂ managing the delivery of quality inpatient psychiatric/addiction nursing care services to the Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations. Effectively integrates nursing care into patients' interdisciplinary treatment program.Â Â
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:Â
Serves as Nursing Administration presence on assigned shift.
Assists with personnel management duties including screening and selection of nursing staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to DON and Human Resources office.
Schedules nursing unit staff, assuring an appropriate staffing ration based on patient acuity and adhering to nursing department FTE standards.
Monitors the day-to-day provision of psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing care, assisting on the unit as necessary, and communicating problems/issues with DON as they occur.
Communicates with referral sources and family members in patientsâ€™ interest, complying with all confidentiality and patient rights standards and policies.
Participates in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring.
Assists DON with facilitation of nursing services department orientation. Identify competency of staff and provide follow-up actions to remedy deficiencies.
Participates in hospital emergency codes necessary to the unitâ€™s and hospitalâ€™s safe operation.
Will adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports facility internal and external customer service standards.
