POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, the Clinical Coordinator of Robotics, demonstrates expertise and knowledge in robotic cases. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and patient for each procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, etiology, and description of detailed procedures and correlating instrumentation involved with robotic procedures. Stays current with new techniques and mentors the staff. Circulates in cases to assist the surgeon and to mentor new staff to these procedures. Assures that all equipment is available and in working order. Manages the equipment and inventory and is responsible for organizing the cases on a daily basis. Orders supplies as needed to maintain the necessary inventory for each case. Works with management to coordinate cases and staff.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience): Current Florida RN License Current BLS Certification Current ACLS Certification Excellent physical assessment and critical-thinking skills Positive affect, demonstrated leadership and time-management skills Three (3) years recent experience in specialty area Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environment

Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
