The Compliance Analyst supports his/her respective area(s) of Coniferï¿½s Ethics and Compliance program which may include: Compliance Operations and Programs; Compliance and Privacy ï¿½ Client Engagement; or Coding Compliance. The Compliance Analyst will support compliance program initiatives and participate in a variety of projects.
Develops and maintains key metrics to use when reviewing program effectiveness with senior compliance leadership. Responsible for assessing objectives and performance metrics in his/her respective area(s) of the compliance program and executes upon actions identified during analysis. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for understanding both the organizationï¿½s and its clientsï¿½ needs and how best to deliver.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and implements key compliance monitoring activities; identifying, reporting, and implementing monitoring controls and making recommendations for training and/or other mechanisms to mitigate risks, or improve the efficiency or effectiveness of business operations and compliance program.
Partners and collaborates with leadership and business partners to enhance business processes based on monitoring results to effectively integrate compliance into daily business operations.
Tracks corrective action plans related to regulatory impacts, including those identified as a result of compliance monitoring, testing, or audits.
Conducts Compliance reviews for purposes of identifying, assessing, and documenting
Supports process improvement efforts by providing and analyzing data.
Builds reporting solutions and develops/enhances existing dashboards and other key reports that are to be utilized by Senior Compliance Leadership to monitor program effectiveness and communication effectiveness to Coniferï¿½s leadership team.
Maintains the integrity of compliance program data to ensure accurate and effective reporting.
Independently investigates breakdown in processes and coordinates resolution for system reporting issues.
Develops both routine and ad hoc reports to support client engagement and governance processes.
Provides data needed to integrate compliance into business plans, scorecards, and processes; removes barriers to implementation.
Develops useful tools and dashboards to aid in creating culture of compliance within the organization.

Intuitive and skilled at problem solving in anticipation of customer request
Have the ability to make logical correlations between data points to determine if analysis is accurate
Detail oriented, meticulous and accurate in completing tasks on time.
Coding Compliance Analyst Specifics:
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding guidelines and methodologies
Intermediate knowledge of disease pathophysiology and drug utilization
Intermediate knowledge of MS-DRG classification and reimbursement structures
Intermediate knowledge of APC, OCE, NCCI classification and reimbursement structures
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
Associates Degree in Business, Information Systems, Health Care Administration or related field or equivalent years of related Analyst experience required.
If hiring for a Coding Compliance Analyst: Demonstrates one to three years of experience in a healthcare organization applying ICD-9/10 and CPT coding conventions and guidelines, preferably in a hospital facility.
Include minimum certification required to perform the job.
Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is preferred
If hiring for a Coding Compliance Analyst: AHIMA certification, RHIT, CCS, or CCA preferred. Will consider a candidate who is CCA eligible within one year of hire.
